5 Card Stud Strategy
Five Card Stud Rules
5 card stud is one of the most basic poker games out there. The rules
for best hand follow the
general poker hand rankings.
The traditional 5 card stud game starts with one card being dealt
up to each player in the hand. The person who has the highest ranked
hand will start the betting for each round. If two players have the
same hand, the person closest to the dealer gets to bet first.
After each of the first 4 cards are flipped over for each player
remaining in the hand, there will be a round of betting. The final
card is dealt out face down to the remaining players in the hand.
There is one more round of betting. If the last bet is called, the
final card is flipped over and the player with the highest hand
wins.
